We loved the location and the stunning views from Spencer Lodge. The lodge itself was beautiful, combine this with the wonderful hospitality and it gave a real sense of being a home away from home. The breathtaking views of Lake Tarawera made it an excellent escape from reality. 5 stars.

Hi Angela and Dave It was a pleasure to stay in your beautiful lodge and thanks for sharing your place with us. You both were great and very thoughtful especially with the birthday cake for my wife. Lodge facilities were great especially heated floors and your book selection. We both loved the interior of the house especially the riverstone fireplace. This will be not our last time, we will see you again in future. :) :)

There couldn't have been a more perfect location for our secret wedding. A dream come true! The wine and flowers on arrival were such a beautiful thought and made for a great last minute bouquet. We had hired a camper van but unfortunately it was'nt the one we wanted and was a tight squeeze. It was stormy and we wanted somewhere comfortable to stay when we came across Spencer Lodge at Tarawera. It was beautiful with amazing views. Thanks, Fredy and Carmen.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had such a lovely weekend in what is a stunning setting.
Spencer Lodge was just perfect for us all and the views were amazing as was the birdlife and especially the wood pigeons.
Breakfast on the deck a great way to start the day after a swim in the lake.
We would certainly recommend a stay here and we will be back to enjoy this slice of paradise.
